How We
Began
We are two moms who love
to cook healthy, nutritious meals for our kids. The problem
is that we also like to spend time with our families. And,
cooking delicious healthy meals takes time and effort.
To save time we would frequently purchase take-out meals
from restaurants and supermarkets. These choices were not
healthy or inexpensive.
We loved the idea of the meal preparation franchises. The
problem is that it takes time to assemble your meals (you
have to make a two-hour appointment), the food is not
all-natural nor organic and side-dishes are not typically
included.
Also, there was a commitment to order a large quantity of
meals. Many of the meals were laden with butter, oil,
cheese and preservatives. The meats contained hormones and
antibiotics. We were concerned about feeding these
unnatural substances to our children and ourselves.
We decided to focus on coming up with an arsenal of recipes
that fit our criteria. It wasn’t long before our friends
and family were demanding our recipes.
We met every week and tested recipes for their taste,
health and to make sure they would freeze well and maintain
their delicious flavor. We then test marketed the recipes
for their quality, flavor and family appeal.
Thus Fabulous Family Meals began.
In order to diversify our menu, we brought Maxwells 148
Restaurant in Natick on board. Chef Mitchell Maxwell shares
our philosophy of preparing real food-all natural and
healthy. We hope you try entrees from both FFM and Maxwells
148.
Our word-of-mouth business is growing and growing. We hope
you love our meals as much as we do!
